Bio:
One of my biggest passions in life is playing music. Playing music alone is a meditative journey. But I also love performing in front of an audience. It's a fabulous feeling to get people dancing or affect their emotions and thoughts in a positive way!

I began playing piano in 1982, guitar in 1992, and bass in 1995. I took some piano lessons as a young child but I'm mostly self-taught on the guitar and bass. I equally enjoy playing acoustic guitar and electric guitar. They both have their moments. The best thing about an acoustic is that I can take it hiking in the woods! Electric guitar is great fun with a group of people.

I have written close to 40 songs with lyrics, chords, and melodies. I have recorded about 20 of those songs. One of these days I will release another album. I have also released an album of instrumental meditational/healing/easy-listening music using a piano, synthesizer, and electric guitar. I have to make a few changes to it before I can release it to the public.

When I play covers I prefer to use creativity in my interpretation and not play them exactly as the original songwriters played them. When I play songs with a band I like to improvise, stretch songs out, and jam - although knowing how to control dynamics is key!
